About the role

Vineyard Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Formworks Engineer to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. As a Formworks Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects by ensuring the design, construction, and implementation of safe and efficient formwork systems.

What you'll be doing

• Organize construction workflow and process as per the approved method statement, manpower and equipment loading, and team carrying cost per activity.

• Control execution using the approved materials and consumables, minimum quality requirement set by the client, within the budget and ahead of schedule.

• Collaborate with the team to align formwork and concreting methods with project goals, schedule, and budget.

• Prepares accomplishment reports of formworks as needed by construction/project manager.

• Helps in cost reduction and construction methodology improvement.

• Interpret plans, shop drawings, formworks design and layout for site delegation and execution on installation and stripping.

• Plan-out the daily activities and conducts daily toolbox meeting of his team.

• Supervise Foreman Carpenter, Leadman Carpenter, formworkers, carpenters, and scaffolders team on site;

• Preparation of Material Request Form, Equipment booking and Subcontractor Request Form.

• Oversee formwork assembly, reinforcement installation, concrete pouring, and curing processes.

• Address immediate issues like formwork misalignment, concrete segregation, or cracks.

• Verify dimensions, clearances, and positioning of rebar before concrete pouring.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Formworks Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry

• Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, and management of formwork systems for a variety of construction projects

• Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards related to formwork

• Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools for formwork design and analysis

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
