About the role



Manila Water Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the company's critical data infrastructure. As the Data Center Operations Manager, you will be responsible in overseeing designing, implementing, operating, managing and maintaining the company’s data center, facility infrastructure, servers and storage including disaster recovery sites and alternate sites. This role involves provision and management of the physical environment, including space and power allocation.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and execute plans for development and installation of data center according to present and future requirements
• Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of the company’s data center
• Manage and perform research to design new advanced data center
• Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees
• Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure.
• Coordinate with other teams and develop strategies to ensure proper capacity plans.
• Develops strategies to ensure future requirements for data center space can be forecast and fulfilled.
• Seeks out and ensures use of industry best practice to ensure future plans are aligned to meet corporate sustainability targets
• Uses data center management tools to plan, record and manage the types of infrastructure installed and the associated power, space and cooling capabilities, usage and actions to meet corporate sustainability targets.
• Carries out routine audit and checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Grants users required physical accesses and monitors and reports on overall access control.
• Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimal level of customer services for various departments
• Abide by all Change Management, Service Management, Problem Management and Incident Management processes and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years Data Center Operations experience
• At least ITIL v3 certified
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• General knowledge in networking, i.e TCP/IP, firewall, network routing.
• Ability to create and manage IT runbooks, and system and project documentation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
• Ability to manage and deliver projects and solutions on time.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
