Integrated Media Planning and Buying

  • Lead and manage strategic integrated media planning and buying for account(s) handled
  • Head developing media objectives and strategies which is in accord with the marketing and business goals of the client


Leadership

  • Mentor and guide direct reports to develop skills in media planning and buying; and to ensure opportunity for advancement


Gatekeeping

  • Gatekeeper of the media-related finances of the account(s) ensuring that the budget allocation, spending and revenue corresponds to the scope of work and details in the Agreement with client; as well as aligned to the direction and goals of the Brand


Job Overview

  • An integrated communications manager ensures the success of a marketing campaign by effectively and efficiently managing multiple touchpoints (TV, Radio, Print, Digital, OOH, Activations, etc.). An associate integrated communications manager optimizes the use of these touchpoints or its combination thereof by identifying the optimal investment per platform that delivers the most cost-efficient and effective result.
  • While there are dedicated support groups for specialized disciplines such as PR and OOH, knowledge of all these touchpoints is necessary in order to develop an integrated plan.


Specifics:

  • End to end campaign management from insight-generation to conceptualization of strategy to detailed planning to implementation and finally, post-campaign evaluation
  • Must be able to translate market data into media objectives
  • Determine the campaign’s reach and frequency levels using a multi-channels planning strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of the target market achieved through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Evaluate different platforms and identify opportunities within each platform
  • With historical data, create sensible forecasts on channel or program performance in order to accurately project campaign performance
  • Beyond traditional use of media, must conceptualize creative media ideas to propel and magnify the campaign
  • Develop media ad hoc reports and white papers to gain further knowledge on the current media landscape, media forecasts, etc.
  • Understanding of industry and category performance KPIs and benchmarks
  • Post-campaign evaluation to identify campaign best practices and learnings
