The Engineering & Maintenance Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of field and packing house equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal operational efficiency in pineapple agriculture operations. This role includes developing maintenance strategies, managing budgets (fixed costs, capital expenditures, and non-recurring expenses), and leading a team to support both field operations and shop repair functions. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness of equipment used in agricultural processes.

Accountabilities

• Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of field and packing house equipment and vehicles to support uninterrupted agricultural activities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime

• Oversee budget planning and execution for maintenance, capital expenditures, and non-recurring expenses

• Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to achieve performance targets

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to equipment maintenance and operations

• Continuously improve maintenance processes through innovation and technology adoption

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Licensed/Registered Engineer

• Masters Degree (an advantage)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in maintenance and engineering, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting

• Proven track record in managing large-scale maintenance operations and teams

• Experience in budget management, cost control, and capital expenditure planning

• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques

• Familiarity with automation, IoT, and digital maintenance tools is a plus
