HR / People & Culture Officer

? Location: Remote / Brisbane-based (Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Brisbane Time)

? Employment Type: Full-time

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR & People Development

✅ Develop and implement People & Culture strategies that drive organizational growth and sustainability

✅ Position the organization as an employer of choice through innovative HR practices

✅ Contribute to a dynamic and responsive people strategy that supports therapeutic goals

Recruitment & Onboarding

✅ Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent for therapeutic and other key roles

✅ Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are effectively integrated and aligned with the organization's mission

Performance & Employee Engagement

✅ Manage performance evaluation processes to maximize employee potential

✅ Develop and implement programs that enhance employee engagement and workplace satisfaction

✅ Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace culture aligned with the organization’s values

Compliance & Best Practices

✅ Stay informed about HR regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws

✅ Implement HR best practices that align with therapeutic care models

✅ Oversee workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives

Data-Driven HR Management

✅ Leverage HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of People & Culture initiatives

✅ Regularly evaluate HR programs and make data-driven improvements

Employee Well-being & Support

✅ Drive workplace well-being initiatives such as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and monthly supervision

✅ Provide post-incident support to ensure staff well-being and implement preventative measures

Qualifications & ExperienceMust-Have:

✔️ Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

✔️ Proven HR experience, preferably in a residential out-of-home care or therapeutic environment

✔️ Strong HR process management, talent acquisition, and organizational culture development skills

✔️ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

✔️ Proficiency in HR management systems and office software (MS Office)

Preferred:

➕ Experience with therapeutic care models or working with children and young people

➕ Knowledge of HR regulations and best practices in care settings

➕ Understanding of SCHADS award rates and compliance
